  6. No, no.  Focal Distance and Focal Length do *not* refer to the same
  7. thing.  Focal Length is a term of art that everyone agrees on.  The
  8. "distance from the camera to the object that you would like to be in
  9. focus" is called a lot of things.  LW calls it the Focal Distance.

  15. Not me.  Precise use of technical language is important.  If somebody
  16. said "focal distance" to me, I'd ask what he meant.  If somebody says
  17. "focal length" to me, I know what he means already.
