- No, no. Focal Distance and Focal Length do *not* refer to the same
- thing. Focal Length is a term of art that everyone agrees on. The
- "distance from the camera to the object that you would like to be in
- focus" is called a lot of things. LW calls it the Focal Distance.

- Not me. Precise use of technical language is important. If somebody
- said "focal distance" to me, I'd ask what he meant. If somebody says
- "focal length" to me, I know what he means already.
